How Fat Dissolving Injections Work
We inject deoxycholic acid into the localised fat deposit. Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid naturally produced by the body to break down dietary fat. When injected directly into a fat pocket, it disrupts the cell membrane of the fat cells, causing them to break apart and be eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system over the following four to eight weeks.
The process is gradual. The full result of each session appears at six to eight weeks, which is why sessions are spaced that far apart. Most clients need two to four sessions to reach their desired result.
