What iPRF Is and How It Works

iPRF stands for Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin. It is produced from a small sample of your own blood, spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets and growth factors. This concentrated serum is then injected into the skin or used during microneedling.

The growth factors in iPRF stimulate fibroblast activity, which drives collagen and elastin production. Because the serum is autologous (from your own body), there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. The response is natural regeneration, not a foreign substance filling space.

Which iPRF Treatment Is Right for You?

We offer three iPRF treatments at SIX1 Alderley Edge. The 8 Point Facelift uses iPRF injections at eight strategic points to lift and tighten the face. iPRF Bio-Filler uses a thicker concentrated fraction as a natural alternative to synthetic filler. iPRF Microneedling combines the treatment with our microneedling device for skin texture, tone, and scar improvement.

At your consultation, we will assess your skin and goals and recommend the option or combination that is most likely to give you the result you want.

iPRF FAQs

Is iPRF safe?

Yes. Because iPRF uses your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction. It has been used in medicine for decades. Side effects are limited to mild redness and swelling at treatment sites, which typically settle within 24 to 48 hours.

How many sessions do I need?

Most clients start with a course of three to four sessions spaced three to six weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every six to twelve months sustain the results.

How long before I see results?

Initial improvement appears at two to four weeks. Full results from an initial course develop over two to three months as new collagen continues to form.

Can iPRF be combined with other treatments?

Yes. iPRF combines particularly well with Profhilo, polynucleotides, and Sculptra. We build combined plans regularly for clients who want a more comprehensive approach to skin regeneration.
