Microneedling in Alderley Edge, Cheshire

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural collagen production to repair and rebuild. The result is improved texture, reduced scarring, tighter pores, and more even tone over a series of sessions at our Alderley Edge clinic.

How Microneedling Works

We use a professional medical-grade microneedling device with sterile, single-use needle cartridges. The device creates precise micro-channels at a controlled depth across the skin. This triggers the body’s wound-healing response: fibroblasts are activated, and collagen and elastin production increases in the treated area.

Over the following four to eight weeks, new collagen remodels the skin from within. Texture improves. Scarring becomes less visible. The skin appears firmer and more uniform. Each session builds on the last, which is why a course produces significantly better results than a single treatment.

What Microneedling Can Treat

Microneedling is effective for acne scarring and post-inflammatory marks, fine lines and surface dehydration, enlarged or congested pores, uneven skin texture, mild skin laxity, and hyperpigmentation.

We can also combine microneedling with our iPRF serum for an advanced treatment that adds growth factor stimulation to the collagen induction process. If you are considering iPRF microneedling, we will explain the difference at your consultation so you can choose the right option for your skin.

Microneedling FAQs

How many sessions do I need?

Most clients see meaningful improvement after three to four sessions. Mild concerns like surface dehydration may show results after two. Deeper scarring may benefit from five or more.

Is there any downtime?

You will be red and slightly sensitive for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Most clients feel comfortable going about their day. Avoid direct sun exposure, active ingredients (retinoids, acids), and intense exercise for 48 hours after each session.

Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Microneedling combines well with skin boosters, polynucleotides, and Profhilo. We schedule them appropriately so the skin recovers between treatments.

Who is not suitable for microneedling?

Active acne, rosacea flare-ups, open wounds, or blood-thinning medication may make microneedling unsuitable. We assess this at your consultation.
